It took me 12 years to master the art of the “circle” pedal technique, so it hasn’t been that fun to have to learn the correct techniques of two more sports. Running I got down, not too many problemos there, but swimming is a ball game that rivals my dear cycling in terms of technique hardships. I am feeling like I want to be mean to swimming and push it out of my little group here, I have been poopy acting to my swimsuit that hangs in my bathroom merely because I am a bratty cyclist who doesn’t want to have to learn another damn technique. Ok, I vented, bike/run today will keep me sane. So my dear swimming, I will see you soon this week so you can kick my little arms…sigh. Tags:
Hi! First week of tri training was a little stressful but I made it through with just a bit of anxiety that has seemed to lessen as of today. I was really nervous about “strength” training for some reason…not sure why but it was silly because I loved it and it went really smooth. We used a cool resistance band for the swimming exercises and dove into some floor plank work which was super-tough. Lesson learned: anxiety is just a front for the unknown, don’t let it scare you away!
